Speaker
From SCMage
Speaker came to find out about the world of Mages only after having been Awake for several months and after a relocation from Detroit. He works as an EMT in the area and came to learn about other Mages after a very insistent ghost described Mr. Wonderful to him. He tracked down the famous Mage and generally caused a ruckus amongst the locals by contacting him.
Since then he has become a part of the local Consilium and worked with them both to apprehend the rogue Chelebi as well as hunting down and confronting the Scelestus that plagued the city. While he has been the only person who can use magic to heal others, he very rarely does as he believes that if you've done something to deserve it you should learn to deal with your wounds. However, he never refuses to mundanely treat people's injuries.
Speaker is a Thyrsus Adamantine Arrow. While he quite some time to find an Order where he felt he belonged, and even commented on the Orders being "Magical Mickey Mouse Clubs". After many in the city have commented that he would make an excellent Adamantine Arrow, he was able to connect with the Arrow during a lecture series while the city was still Creche. He did join the Order shortly thereafter speaking with an Arrow by the name of Smoke who convinced Speaker that the Arrow was more than the "Magical Marines".
Shortly before his entrance into the Order, he also was one of the founding members of the Torches Cabal along with Go'el, Redwing and Mr. Wonderful. Since then the Cabal has grown to include Sparrow, while Go'el and another later member, Sam, have become less active.
Months ago, the Consilium sought a new Sentinel to act as the force of law in the Awakened community and Speaker volunteered for the position. During his time as Sentinel of the Greater Lansing Area, he helped the city weather (or hunted down) a cabal of powerful Banishers who believed the Consilium held their messiah, the Seers who had occupied Flint and one who had personal business with his cabal-mate, Go'el, a spirit resurgence and the various misadventures of the local mages themselves.
Very recently, after Codex decided to move on from the city of Lansing after the death of his last cabal mate Gifter, Speaker was doing his best to mediate the transfer of power to a new Hierarch as well as to adjudicate the various claims. Through some mysterious manner, Speaker came out of the meeting as the new Hierarch himself. Still not quite sure how this happens, Speaker is trying to comes to term with his new position ("A matter of congratulations and condolences," he's been heard to say) and what that will entail. He hopes that the rest of the Mages won't attempt to stop him from doing what he feels responsible for when it comes to dealing with threats to the city and hopes that his quiet comings and goings will remain uninterrupted.
Speaker is only 5'8 with a large, well-muscled build. His long brown hair is often worn back in a pony-tail. He wears loose-fitting, functional clothing with little concern about the occasional bloodstain or bit of dirt.
